Ahh this show was a just sad. So very few tickets were sold, that they roped off half of the Ector County Coliseum, and they had trouble filling that sad part.
Kim Mitchell, as well as his old band Max Webster was getting a lot of play on our college radio station, and KUFO the only rock station in the area. So, a lot of people were familiar with his back catalogue and he got good response from the couple of hundred people that showed up.
Joan looked absolutely pissed from the moment she hit the stage. It looked like she just wanted to bang out eight songs, shove a guitar up somebody's ass, and get the fuck out.
I have seen a few people play pissed, Vivian Campbell (Dio), Rob Cavestany (the Organization (Death Angel)), Dio when he got pegged in the head with a cup of ice, Kevin DuBrow after my friend hit him in the eye with a tape ball, Rob Dukes (Exodus), Jon Butcher Axis when he got hit in the head with a cup of some kind of liquid. I guess they all had their reasons.
I don't know what her problem was that day, she wasn't being booed, she didn't get hit by anything, but she seemed like a total bitch.
At the end of her set, as Joan looked over a half full, roped off coliseum, she stated to all of us in attendance, "I hope you liked it, because I'm never coming back to this fucking town again!"
I can find no information on the other band members of either band.
