Neil Peart (1) - drums, percussion

Went w/ Dean Spit Purvis and Mitch Roehrman, and possibly Dan Beech? Ricky Daniel, Lee Friske??
I do remember we were first in line, and got to hear Gary Moore do about a half a set for soundcheck. I was there to see Gary Moore. I was not into Rush at that time. It would be a couple more years before that epiphany hit me.
Gary was amazing, he opened with Wishing Well, then Murder in the Skies. Holy shit he was a force. The great Bobby Chouinard was drumming for him that night. And I believe the great Neil Murray was on bass that night, which would have been the second time for me to see him, but it could have been Bob Daisley, which would be the only time I ever saw him, if it was. Details are a little sporadic on the internet as to who was with him on what stops. I think Bob only played in the studio, but I really don't know.
Bought a Gary Moore shirt.
RUSH was incredible. Strangely, I was not a huge RUSH fan yet, although I did really like Red Sector A, Subdivisions, and Tom Sawyer at this time. Neil Peart's drum solo was what I was really waiting for, and it was amazing, as promised. I would become a massive RUSH fan in the next few years.
Purchased a Gary Moore Victims of the Future t-shirt. $10-12.

RIP February 6, 2011, guitarist, Gary Moore - Thin Lizzy, Coliseum II, (Irish)Skid Row, Gary Moore, - heart attack - [1x Gary Moore, 1984] Gary Moore died of a heart attack in his sleep at the age of 58 during the early hours of 6 February 2011. At the time, he was on holiday with his girlfriend at the Kempinski Hotel in Estepona, Spain. After a quiet dinner, they went for a walk on the beach before going up to their room. His girlfriend raised the alarm at 4:00 am, and tried to give him a heart massage.
According to The Daily Telegraph, Moore's fatal heart attack was brought on by a massive amount of alcohol he had consumed the evening of his death. Moore had 380 mg of alcohol per decilitre (100 millilitres) of blood (0.38%) in his system, which meant he was five times the legal drink driving limit.Blood alcohol content from 0.40% to 0.50% is considered to be lethal.
